About us

During his earlier career in the Royal Navy, our founder, Derek Jones used real-time flight and tactical information to help him make many informed decisions. When Derek left the RN, and having studied for an MBA at Cranfield School of Management, he used his flying skills and passion for looking for insights in information to become the founder of Acuigen.

Today, at Acuigen, we create customizable client listening programs to support our client partners as one team. We help them build the skills and infrastructure to gather ongoing, real-time client insights that when actioned can be used in commercial decision making. 

Since 1993 when the company was founded, the company has built a sophisticated real-time client insight platform, CustomServe to manage the real-time content from client and customer feedback interviews, providing actionable insights to business leaders who wish their firms to deliver outstanding service to their clients and build long term relationships.  Like flight safety, looking after customers is a business manager’s top priority.

The company has invested considerably in quality systems, research and information security standards with 3 international certifications maintained.  We are members of the Market Research Society, and proudly celebrate almost 3 decades of providing high-quality commercial client feedback to an elite group of clients.

Chris has extensive experience in researching and analysing large data sets to deliver actionable insight, working with our clients to deliver research projects that support new business strategies and marketing initiatives. He works closely with the technical team to align our software capabilities with our clients’ needs. He holds an MBA, obtained whilst working at Acuigen from The Open University. Derek Jones

Derek Jones, CEO

After a 14 year career in the Royal Navy, including 7 years flying in Lynx helicopters, Derek undertook an MBA at Cranfield School of Management.  In 1993, he founded Acuigen, a company that today provides high quality client feedback services and technology. He is also the Managing Director of Business Vision Holdings group of companies.  At Acuigen, he is responsible for ensuring that the company’s clients derive the maximum value from their client feedback programmes. He has worked with many top 100 professional services firms and has completed many commercial and public sector client and customer feedback projects. Tracy Bartlett

Tracy Bartlett, COO

Co-founder of Acuigen, Tracy coordinates our service delivery teams to ensure that they have the resources to respond to our clients’ needs and demonstrate the flexibility that is required for successful programmes and relationships. Tracy has travelled widely across the US, where she has supported many professional service firms. Andy Page FCMA

Andy Page FCMA, Non-Executive Director

Andy became a non-executive director in 2010 having previously worked with the company as a consultant for many years. Andy has experience as a General Manager, Operations Director and Finance Director in the manufacturing, distribution and retail sectors, implementing best-in-class supply chain and manufacturing solutions, both in the UK, Europe and the US.
