Acuigen provide customer and client feedback services to blue chip companies and international professional services firms. We are looking for a self-motivated, empathetic and engaging Software Developer to join our Technical Team.

Based onsite working from our offices in Cranfield you will be involved in a variety of software development projects working on CustomServe (see acuigen.com) for our professional services clients. This rewarding role provides a fantastic opportunity to develop a broad range of skills, in a fast paced, challenging and supportive environment.
What we are looking for
We are interested in hearing from individuals who have the following skills:

Designing, planning and developing applications in C# and SQL Server, working with the testing and user experience team, programme managers and network engineers.

Develop software using the company’s Software Development lifecycle (includes planning, development, testing, release, on-going service maintenance)

Create and maintain our services to clients
-
Maintain databases, database information, web sites, processes and software
-
Deliver accurate information to Acuigen and its clients from databases
-
Assist in maintaining physical and electronic security of systems
-
Provide support in maintaining network availability
-
Provide technical and data support for internal and external clients
-
Assist in configuring CustomServe
-
To be part of a rostered (out of hours) duty IT team
-
Understand and comply with Market Research Society rules, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 20252, the UK Data Protection Act 2018 & GDPR.

Be responsible for helping to maintain security of the office, site and equipment and comply with Health & Safety and Fire Regulations.
About you
Acuigen are looking for someone with the following:
Technical skills:
-
Highly competent developing dynamic ASP.NET websites, using C#, SQLServer, TSQL, AJAX, some use of JavaScript and jQuery
-
Understanding of enterprise software (Exchange, SQL, IIS, DevOps, MS Office, Windows/Azure/365)
-
Understanding of network management (including Firewall, AD, Group Policy, DNS and DHCP)
-
3 years’ experience in similar role.
Availability:
-
Located within 20-30 minutes travelling time of Cranfield with own transport to travel into the office (essential)
-
Willingness to work flexibly outside normal working hours during periods of job/software rollouts/maintenance upgrades, or when a time critical date is approaching
-
Be able to participate in a Duty IT Roster, attending offices out of working hours to deal with an IT Incident (server failure etc.)
Personal skills:
-
Good written and spoken English language skills
-
Good standard of maths and basic statistics
-
Consistent and administratively competent - for example record keeping, checking in work, completing time records, test notes
-
Empathetic when working with clients and colleagues and as part of a team
-
Capable of receiving a brief, interpreting the request, discussing how you plan to proceed with the work, and complete it.

Acuigen Ltd is located in modern office facilities at Cranfield Innovation Centre in the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside. We are a professional team, providing customer and client feedback services to blue chips and international professional services firms. Working collaboratively with our clients, we have developed the CustomServe Insight Platform (see acuigen.com), which is provided as a ‘Software as a Service’. The office is easily commutable from Milton Keynes and Bedford.
